A major trade publishing house are looking for an Account Manager to sell advertising space to existing major accounts, and to also win new business. The role will be based from Croydon with travel to clients in the West and East Midlands.
ROLE: Account Manager – Field Sales

BASIC: £22k to £26K
OTE: £35k

ROLE:
The role is a Tele/Field sales Account Managers role ( 60/40 split in favour of telesales initially, but 80%/20% in favour of telesales as the person becomes more established on the patch ). The areas to be covered are Birmingham , Leicester and Nottingham & involves looking after some very well established and long standing clients.
The role involves selling advertising space and additions to existing, major clients, and also to win a little new business.
85%-90% of the territory's business is incoming, with most clients booking almost every issue. 10% or less is new business and one of the candidate's key focuses will be to increase our new business level.
The candidate’s base will be the Croydon offices.
The person is likely to have no less than 2-3 years ad sales experience with minimum one year's field sales experience ( Press ad sales is the prerequisite component ).
The person will be hungry, dynamic and keen to make their mark However their capacity to fit into the team and demonstrate a supportive & co-operative attitude to their colleagues is as important as their desire to earn money.
