The Association for Consultancy and Engineering ACE is seeking a confident and experienced communicator with at least one years experience of running events to take on the role of Events Executive. The successful applicant will coordinate and administer ACE’s events programme and seminars, support ACE presence at appropriate events and assist ACE in achieving its business potential in these areas.
Working as part of ACE's communications and public affairs team, the Events Executive will support the Events Programme Manager in coordinating ACE’s programme of seminars and will administer all event administration and act as first point of contact for all events related queries. You will also maintain and develop client relationship management databases, monitor bookings and take action to increase support for events as necessary.
Summary of role
• To co-ordinate and administer ACE’s events programme and seminars, support ACE presence at appropriate events and assist ACE in achieving its business potential in these areas;
• Support the Events Programme Manager in co-ordinating ACE’s programme of seminars and to administer all event administration and act as first point of contact for all events related queries;
• To work with the communications team, ACE senior management and other key industry stakeholders in developing and delivering business enhancement services to ACE members.
Responsibilities
• To work with the ACE communications team and senior management team to develop the forward programme of events, seminars and workshops for ACE;
• Support the Events Programme Manager in co-ordinating ACE’s programme of seminars and to administer all event administration and act as first point of contact for all events related queries;
• To maintain and develop client relationship management databases, monitor bookings and take action to increase support for events as necessary;
• In conjunction with the communications team, to identify and develop marketing channels and sales strategy to ensure profitability and success of ACE events programmes;
• Updating events information on the ACE website as required and compiling events marketing updates;
• Work with external suppliers on the provision and production of promotional material;
• To assist in co-ordinating ACE’s presence at trade shows, exhibitions and other promotional opportunities;
• To support and work with other members of the communications team in promoting ACE messages to key stakeholders.
Person Specification
• A relevant degree or professional qualification;
• At least one years experience of running events, seminars and conferences;
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• A flair for communication, written and oral, who is outgoing and confident;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written English, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
• Able to work alone on own initiative as well as part of the team;
• Attention to detail and accurate in production of reports and statistics;
• A good influencer; tactful, diplomatic, confident and credible with good negotiation skills.
