Sales Manager, Corporate/MICE - UK
The Post:
Responsible for developing and maximising travel business from companies and trade related organisations (Corporate Business Houses, TMC’s, MICE specialists etc.) throughout the UK for all Corporate/MICE clients.
Reports to: Director of Sales, Marketing and Special Projects
Based at: Armstrong House, Market Square, Uxbridge
Main duties and responsibilities:
1.To work with management team to implement the corporate & MICE strategy.
CORPORATE
2.To identify, solicit and negotiate contracts with Travel Management Companies, tender for Corporate business on a renewal and new opportunity basis (RFP’s). This will involve undertaking research, making cold calls and preparing and undertaking corporate presentations and pitches.
MICE
3. To increase MICE business to ITG hotels offering this segment. Collaborate with key partners such as travel agents, event organisers, etc. Research on key industries and companies to target in order to secure MICE business. Develop comprehensive proposals and pitches to clients.
4.To work to and achieve realistic sales, meetings and activity targets set by the D.O.S. within the role. These will be set as monthly, quarterly and annual targets. Success in the role is based on achieving targets. Targets will be split into three main groups and will require different levels of sales activity.
5.Update and maintain accurate database records. Assist with monthly reports processes.
6.Represent and attend business related trade and consumer shows.
7.To work closely with other key team members in other segments of the market e.g. sales, marketing and as required.
